DAVID MOORE

Reverend David Moore is a dynamic and powerful preacher of the Word who loves the Lord, His Word, and His Church. He is dedicated to serving God through the preaching, and teaching, of the Word of God and evangelistic ministries.

He is committed to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and doing the work to advance God’s Kingdom. He serves as the Pastor/Teacher of New Life In Christ Fellowship Church and is a native
Washingtonian. At a very young age, David received and devoted his life to Christ. Pastor Moore faithfully have served in various capacities at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Canaan Christian Fellowship and St. Stephens AME Church.


At Tabernacle Baptist Church, under the leadership of his Pastor, the late Reverend Dr. William Stroman, in May 2000, he licensed to the Gospel Ministry and after being examined in 2011 he was ordained to the Gospel Ministry. While serving as the Minister of Evangelism and to the Youth at Canaan Christian Fellowship Church, under the leadership of Pastor James H. Veney, in 2005, Pastor Moore was examined by Bishop Michael Kelsey and a council of Pastors and was ordained to the office of Elder. From 2015-2017, at St. Stephens AME Church, Pastor Moore served as the Minister to Men & Evangelism.

 

He led the Iron Sharpens Iron Men Small Group, the Men’s weekly Prayer Call, developed the Equip Discipleship Class, served on the ministerial staff and assisted the Pastor with teaching Bible Study.
In April 2020, Pastor Moore obeyed God's call to birth a new church plant, in the Glen Burnie, MD area, New Life in Christ Fellowship

Church (NLICFC).
 

He is committed to standing on these two scriptural principles that speak to his heart; 1 Timothy 2:7, “For which I was appointed a preacher” and 1 Philippians 1:21, “For to me live is
Christ, and to die is gain”.  Pastor Moore is married to the love of his life, the Rev. Avonda Thompson Moore, affectionately called Rev. ATM. He is the proud father of one daughter: Ms. Erica Moore, and
two grandchildren, Aniyah and Zyhir.

AVONDA MOORE

Rev. Avonda Thompson Moore is a native of Cambridge, Maryland. She is the oldest of two children born to Mrs. Mary M. Thompson and the late Althonder Thompson. Avonda was educated in the public
schools of Dorchester County and graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School in 1985. She furthered her education at Bowie State University and received a BS in Business Administration. Avonda received a Master of Divinity Degree from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC. She is employed by Zimmerman Associates Inc., a government contractor, as a Senior Project Manager.


She is an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority; Inc and she currently serve as the Chaplain for the State of Maryland. Avonda was licensed to preach in the African Methodist Episcopal Church in June 2001. She was
ordained an Itinerant Deacon in 2005 and Itinerant Elder in 2009 by the Washington Annual Conference. She was a member of the Washington Annual Conference Women in Ministry (WIM) where she has served on the leadership team as the herstoriographer and the financial secretary.
She has served on the ministerial staff at Reid Temple AME Church in Glenn Dale, Maryland under the Pastoral leadership of her Father in the Ministry, the Reverend Dr. Lee P. Washington (retired).


As minister on staff at Stephens AME Church in Elkridge, MD, she assisted the Pastor with various assignments from preaching to teaching to help with the edifying and building up the body of believers for the work of God’s Kingdom and to share the good news of the Gospel to the unbeliever. She also has served in the capacity of the Executive Minister and as the Minister to Young Adults.


In April of 2020, Avonda joined her husband, Pastor David Moore as he obeyed God’s call to plant New Life in Christ Fellowship Church located in Glen Burnie, MD. Reverend Avonda Thompson, affectionately known as Rev. ATM, serves as both the Executive Minister and the Women of Worth Ministry Director. God has blessed her with a bonus daughter, Erica Moore, and a bonus granddaughter Aniyah and bonus grandson Zyhir.
